How we get the information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

·      To be able to contact you about our products when you have filled in a contact form.

·      To improve the products and services we provide.

·      To send you promotional emails about products, services, offers and other things we think might be relevant to you.

·      CCTV footage from our Safety Systems on behalf of our Customers for safety on our Customers site.

·      To provide access to our portal to review our safety systems and view safety alerts.

·      For security of our premise and Customers Site.

·      Log Files - SSG follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analysing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

·      Cookies - Like any other website, SSG uses 'cookies'. These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users' experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors' browser type and/or other information.

What we do with the information we have

We use the information that you have given us in order to

·      Provide data to our Customers on safety Alerts

·      Provide clear examples of current practices near machinery to allow for improved training and safety briefings.

·      To identify machines with high levels incidents of People interfacing with Plant machinery.

·      To improve safety of individuals who operate with machinery.

·      To assist our customers in reducing Accident Frequency rate

·      To deliver a zero harm policy by our customers  

We may share this information with our contracted customers to achieve their aims as above. Our Developers to improve our product effectiveness. Law enforcement upon legal request to aid investigation.

How we store your information 

Your information is securely stored on our cloud based server AWS. 

We keep video footage for no more than 30days or less if our Direct customers require it. We will then dispose your information by erasing from our servers.

Critical incident footage may be kept for longer until the investigation has been concluded where it will then be deleted from our server.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information. 

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
